Terms of Service

Effective October 6, 2026 · Consilience Advisory, LLC (Virginia)

These terms apply to MusicSpan – the Windows app, the MusicSpan Server and the Android app – made by Consilience Advisory, LLC (“we”). By installing or using MusicSpan you agree to them.

Using MusicSpan

• MusicSpan is for personal, non-commercial listening by you and the people you invite.
• You’re responsible for having the right to the music you add, and for following the terms of any service you connect, including the YouTube Terms of Service.
• Your access is personal. Don’t share sign-in links, codes or devices with people the owner hasn’t approved.
• The household owner decides who may use their MusicSpan Server and may remove anyone at any time.

Streaming services

Songs from YouTube or SoundCloud play in those services’ own players and remain subject to their terms. MusicSpan doesn’t download or copy streaming content. Some songs may not play outside the service; MusicSpan shows those as unavailable.

Your information

How MusicSpan handles information is described in the MusicSpan Privacy Policy.

No warranty

MusicSpan is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Keep your own backups of your music and settings. Changes MusicSpan makes to your files can be reviewed first, and most can be undone, but you use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Consilience Advisory, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of MusicSpan.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. You may stop using MusicSpan at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
