About
Leadership forged where the stakes are highest
Consilience Advisory is a veteran-owned firm led by a technology executive whose career spans the places where complex technology matters most — national defense, federal research, higher education, and cloud computing at global scale.
That range is the point. Hard technology problems are rarely just technical; they are challenges of strategy, delivery, and people all at once. Consilience brings those threads together so leaders can move with clarity and confidence — the meaning of “consilience” itself: the unity of knowledge.
In the founder’s words
My path to founding Consilience Advisory wasn’t a straight line — and that’s exactly what makes it valuable. From 1992 to 2012, I served in the Army Reserve in nearly every role a technologist and leader can hold — network and IT specialist, signal instructor, instructor of leadership, systems and operations leader, and signal commander — while building a parallel civilian career as a software engineer, program manager, and college professor. I served in combat during Operation Desert Storm and, later, Operation Iraqi Freedom. Two decades of leading people and technology where the stakes are highest taught me what no playbook can: I understand high pressure, and how to deliver through it.
What you can expect
- Leadership under pressure — a steady, decisive partner when the stakes are high and the path is unclear.
- Technology at scale — guidance grounded in delivering complex technology programs at global scale.
- Mission-critical systems — the discipline and rigor your most important systems demand.
- Developing leaders — a team that comes out stronger, with leaders ready to keep delivering.
The best technology decisions live at the intersection of deep expertise and human leadership. That intersection is where we work.
