MusicSpan

Your music, your playlists and your family’s listening – in one place you run yourself.

MusicSpan is a music player and library manager for Windows, a companion server for your home network storage, and an app for Android phones. It plays the music you own, keeps it organized, brings in the playlists you’ve built on streaming services, and shares it with the people you choose – without handing your library to anyone else’s cloud.

• ♪A library that takes care of itself. Finds lyrics (synced for karaoke), fixes tags and artwork, spots duplicates, and flags explicit songs – with changes you can review and undo.
• ♪Friends & Family, done securely. Each person signs in with their own Google account on their own registered device; a second device waits for approval, so access can’t be passed along.
• ♪Your streaming playlists, alongside your library. Each person can link their own YouTube to bring in their playlists and likes, read-only.
• ♪Listening that fits the moment. Smart DJ sets, karaoke with timed lyrics, an equalizer, Clean only listening for younger family members, and downloads for offline play.
